In our experience our clients will have tried self-treatment first, trying a range of over the counter antiperspirants, which are generally ineffective.

• Zea sorb, which is a talcum powder and cornstarch product, can help absorb the sweat.
• Stronger antiperspirants, available through your General Practitioner such as Anhydrol forte which are made from a strong solution of aluminium chloride. These can be effective; unfortunately they can cause the skin to become irritated over time.
• If the above treatments have not helped or you develop side effects, Botox hyperhidrosis treatment is an excellent alternative with outstanding results to stop excessive sweating.

Practical advise to stop excessive sweating

• Correct clothing is mandatory
• Cotton is cool, it absorbs sweat, and however it tends to remain damp.
• Synthetic fibres, these tend to draw sweat away from the body and feel dry, however they are good at keeping the body warm, which can exacerbate the sweat problem.
• A change of clothing during the day can help your comfort.
• Keep your house and work environment cool and well ventilated.
