It all began with SmartLipo ...

■ Smart Lipo was the first generation Laser Lipolysis procedure. It used a 1064 nm wavelength Nd Yag laser system, with a power output of 6W. The general consensus was that it was an underpowered system. (ie: only 6w of power)

■ It could only remove small areas of fat. Recently in the United Kingdom at the end of the Smart Lipo procedure the technique of gentle vacuum aspiration of the liquefied fat was added to improve results.

All the procedures listed below are the next generation Smart Lipo procedures.

Advanced SmartLipo:

■ This Laser Lipolysis procedure uses 1064 nm wavelength Nd Yag Laser system with a power output of 10W, followed by gentle vacuum aspiration of the liquefied fat.

Advanced Laser Lipo:

■ This Laser Lipolysis procedure uses a 980nm wavength Diode Laser system with a power output 25W. At the end of the procedure the liquefied fat is removed by gentle vacuum aspiration.

Xtra Performance Lipo Laser (XP Lipo Laser):

● This laser Lipolysis procedure uses a 1064 nm wavelength Nd Yag (the same Laser system as for Smart Lipo). However this Laser system has a power output of up to 30W. At the end of the procedure the resultant liquefied fat is removed by gentle vacuum aspiration.

● The XP Lipo Laser procedure is our preferred method of Laser Lipolysis.

We have selected the XP Lipo Laser as the 1064 nm wavelength Nd Yag Laser system (which is being used for Smart Lipo) has been recognized as the effective choice for rupturing of fat cells. However with the increased power available with the XP Lipo Laser system, greater energy can be delivered, resulting in greater amount of fat cells being ruptured in a shorter time, this lessens the length of time of the procedure contributing to less bruising and discomfort post operatively. The other most important advantage is that greater amounts of fat can be liquefied and removed compared with the Smart Lipo procedure.

At the pre treatment consultation. Dr Bassi will assess your suitability for XP lipo laser or Vaser Lipo. Your expectations have to be realistic and your goals of the eventual results to be agreed.

Then Pre treatment photos are taken

After treatment you will be routinely offered follow up appointments, at one month , three months and six months.

At six months a post treatment photo will be taken, providing your B.M.I ( body mass index) has not risen and if there is no noticeable difference between the before and after photographs, the treatment will be repeated free of charge.
